Villa Olive — Gouverneur, St Barts

The great room is open-plan, combining a lounge area, dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen under one roofline. Limestone floors and hand-finished plaster walls give the interior a matte, handmade texture rather than a polished one. Sliding glass doors along one side connect the room directly to the pool terrace, and Wi-Fi is strong enough for longer working stays.

The pool has an infinity edge and sits on a sun-facing terrace shaded in part by a palapa roof, with lounge seating split between sun and shade. There's garden space around the pool area beyond just the deck itself, giving the outdoor footprint more depth than a strictly beachfront lot would allow. Meals outside are set up under the palapa, with views toward the Caribbean from the terrace.

Four en-suite bedrooms. The primary suite has its own ocean-facing terrace; the remaining three are set up for couples or children with blackout shades and adequate storage. The villa has four and a half bathrooms against four bedrooms — one extra half-bath beyond a strict one-per-room split, which helps when the group is using the pool and outdoor spaces at the same time.

Gouverneur is a valley on St Barts' south coast, mostly residential with the beach at the bottom of the road and little else built up around it. Villa Olive sits within that quiet setting, a short drive from St Jean or Gustavia for dining and shopping. It suits guests who want privacy first and are comfortable driving (or arranging transport) for restaurants and beach clubs, rather than guests who want to walk everywhere.
